Witchcraft: Rebirth of the Old Religion

An updating of the old VHS documentary on Wicca and witchcraft for modern DVD technology, it is of somewhat uneven quality in both content and production. Various traditions are presented without clear distinction between them, and the terms "Wicca" and "witchcraft" are used interchangeably, although some traditions do not regard them as synonymous. Although the new additions that were recorded digitally are very clear, the parts that were transferred from VHS suffer from noticeable degradation in picture quality, including scan lines that are particularly visible on larger sets. Although flawed, it remains one of the few truly introductory audiovisual presentations on the Craft.

The Rites of Magick

An introduction to the Hermetical Tradition, which draws upon the esoteric traditions of the Greeks, particularly the Pythagoreans and the Platonists. Although in modern times these two ancient schools are remembered primarily as mathematicians and philosophers (most reasonably alert students will recall the Pythagorean Theorem for determining the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle and the Platonic concept of everyday things being but reflections of ultimate Ideals), they were also deeply interested in metaphysical and spiritual matters. This documentary presents the practices of a modern Hermetical organization based in California.
